Pokémon GO’s Halloween event for 2018 begins tomorrow with the announcement of what to expect arriving just a few moments ago. Trainers will definitely want to dive into this latest event which offers some very highly sought after rewards, including bonuses for candy and special spawns around the world.

The announcement explains: “Ghost-type and Dark-type Pokémon originally discovered in the Sinnoh region, such as Drifloon and Stunky, join in on the fun, which begins on October 23 at 1:00 p.m. PDT! And, because you can’t have tricks without any treats, Trainers will be able to earn double Candy for every Pokémon caught until November 1 at 1:00 p.m. PDT.”

That’s not all, of course. Giratina will be appearing as a special level 5 raid throughout the event and trainers can participate in special research related to a very interesting stone. You can also expect to see some new shiny variants of Pokémon, such as Drifloon.

One thing that’s important to note about this double candy event is that it specifies it is for catching. Transferring Pokémon seems to be excluded, so don’t dump all your extra rare characters just yet; unless you need the space that is. This does make the 2018 Pokémon GO Halloween event a bit less beneficial when compared to previous ones, but it’s still gonna be a nice opportunity to get some extra candy.
