If you are one of the few people that have not bought Minecraft yet, well it’s now going to cost a bit more than it was before. The price for the game has increased in a lot of countries.
If you live in the USA and UK, the price for Minecraft remains unchanged. The price rise will affect Australia, Canada, Denmark, Europe, Norway, New Zealand, Poland and Sweden.
Mojang announced on its official blog page: “Money, eh? When it’s in your pocket it seems constant in value, but when you start comparing it to coins in pockets around the world, it seems to be worth more or less than before. That’s currency in a nutshell.
That’s economics. It’s very boring. Anyway, in the spirit of currency exchange, we’re changing the prices of Minecraft in different regions so they align with the United States Dollar.”
In related news, the game is now available in the countries of Japan, Korea, and Brazil. The price for the game increases today (May 23rd) so be prepared to pay a higher price for the game from this day onward.
