It looks like both Microsoft and Sony will be having a great selection of free games for the month of August. After Microsoft debuted their Games with Gold titles, which included AAA hits like For Honor and Forza Horizon 2, we wondered if Sony would respond in kind. They have, announcing that Dead by Daylight and Mafia III would headline the PS Plus free games for August 2018. Here’s the full list…

There’s another bonus game available though. From August 7th to November 6th you can receive Knowledge is Power, a trivia based game. Also, as a special bonus for PSVR owners, PlayStation Plus members can grab Here They Lie for free starting August 7th and going until October 2nd.
Dead by Daylight is a huge bonus for PS Plus members. The multiplayer game pits four survivors against one ultra powerful killer. Any time these sorts of titles are available for free, the boost in playerbase often rejuvenates the entire community. Not that the game needed it, but it should be nice for fans.
