PSA: Halo 5: Guardians Is Now Able To Be Pre-Loaded On Xbox One

by Dean James

Halo 5: Guardians is the next entry in the most popular of all Xbox franchises, with a release coming in a mere week and a half now. With the prominence of digital gaming now, of course Halo 5: Guardians will be available on the Xbox One Games Store at launch, and for those that pre-order, you can now pre-load the game.

Starting now and running through anytime prior to 12:01 am on October 27, you can pre-order and go ahead and start your download for Halo 5: Guardians. As always though, you will not be able to play anything until release day.

We’ve already heard before that this game has a very large file size, at around 60 GB in total, so offering an early start for those that have slow internet connections is a big deal.

While this pre-load is available now, technically you cannot download everything involved yet. Major Nelson has revealed that there will be another update that you must download prior to October 27. This update will be coming at some point to “supplement online multiplayer with map content for Arena Multiplayer and Warzone Multiplayer.”

Major Nelson also makes a big point to say that this upcoming update will not come through unless you have your Xbox One set to “Instant In.”
