Update: PSN should be back up online now.
The weekend before E3 2015 week is not starting off good as the PSN is down once again.
The official PSN status website says:
“You may be experiencing issues related to signing in or creating an account on PlayStation Network. We appreciate your patience while we address this.”
PSN remains offline for those on the PS4, PS3 and other platforms. It goes without saying that many of the services are inaccessible at the moment.
If you want to use the PSN, you won’t be able to play multiplayer games obviously. Other affected services include PlayStation Video, PlayStation Now, PlayStation Store and PlayStation Vue.
The Ask PlayStation Twitter page has not posted up an update as to why the PSN is offline for some. In either case, don’t be too worried that you cannot sign in. This is affecting lots of players today.
Hopefully the PSN comes back up in a few hours or so. These things usually take time. It’s too early to tell if any suspicious group has been the cause of the outage.
As far as I can tell, PSN maintenance has not been scheduled for today so that’s not the cause either. If you are wanting to play online, I suggest you play an offline game for now.
