Some Online Toys “R” Us NES Classic Orders Are Getting Cancelled

by Damian Seeto

If you ordered the NES Classic online from Toys R Us, there might be some bad news because the retailer is starting to cancel some orders.

Wario64 posted an email he received from Toys “R” Us via Twitter. It sounds like orders for the NES Classic won’t be able to be fulfilled in a timely manner, so they are cancelling them.

The email said: We are reaching out regarding your recent order which had you previously received notification was being delayed awaiting additional inventory.

We wanted to make you aware that due to a technical error, online orders of Nintendo’s NES Classic Edition were taken that cannot be fulfilled and, as a result, will be cancelled. Please accept our sincere apologies for any disappointment this has caused. Rest assured, you will not be charged for your order, and any authorization holds to your account – regardless of form of payment – should be resinstated to you within 7 business days depending on your provider.

If you are still interested in purchasing this item, we encourage you to check back with your local Toys “R” Us store, as we expect to receive additional consoles between now and Christmas. Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding“.

If you missed out on ordering the NES Classic either at Toys “R” Us, Amazon or any other place, the best thing you can do is be patient until more stock arrives. Please don’t cave in and pay the insane amounts that have been listed on eBay or Craigslist.
