Star Wars Battlefront fans will be happy to know that the Speeder Bike in the game won’t just be an on-rails only experience.

EA community manager, Mathew Everett, answered a few questions about Star Wars Battlefront over on Reddit recently.

A fan asked if the Speeder Bike on Endor (pictured) will be an on-rails only experience in Star Wars Battlefront. Everett said “no” which means you could drive them yourself.

In the original Star Wars Battlefront games, the Speeder Bikes were playable without any assistance from the game mechanics. They moved very fast and it was easy to crash and commit suicide often. It will be interesting to see how DICE balances this out in the new game.

Everett also confirmed in another question that the Walker Assault mode in Star Wars Battlefront isn’t the only mode with vehicles in them. However, details of other modes in the game will be shared at a later date.

Finally, Everett said people playing Star Wars Battlefront won’t be able to hog vehicle power ups if they don’t use it. If you have a vehicle power up and don’t use it, you will lose it.

It sounds like DICE has managed to balance the gameplay in Star Wars Battlefront to make the experience fun for all.
