If you are like me and the many others who are currently cluttering the serves on both consoles for the recently released The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited than you are likely having issues logging in. We have figured out a work around that seems to help a few users.

Basically what occurs is that you go to login to the North American server and you are booted back out to the main screen with the ESO logo and given some error that tells you to go to the help page. Their Twitter is currently being bombarded by users, and their only advice for this issue is to “continue to try to log in”. Our workaround which was found by Connor, who asked them for help but went on to solve it himself.

This workaround has been tested to work with PlayStation 4 versions, no confirmation that it would work with Xbox One.

Step 1: Change Server to European & Login

Go to the second option below the ‘play’ option and switch your region/server to European. Now go back to the ‘play’ option and login. This should work and you will be reintroduced to the opening scene and start in a dungeon all over again. Simply just hit circle or back and return to the main logo menu again.

Step 2: Change Server Back To North America & Login

Go and change the second option again to your home server, North America and then proceed to login. You should now be able to login with no issues. Hopefully Bethesda will go ahead and test this for themselves as it seems to have worked for a few people, myself included.

There you have it, looks like fans can now get back to pillaging Tamriel for loot and questing to their hearts content in The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited.
