Sadly, it has now been confirmed that there will be no special “collector’s edition” for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5.
A fan asked the official TonyHawkGames Twitter page if there would be any special or collector’s edition for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5.
The page replied: “That’s not the plan right now, but that could change.”
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 has been confirmed to be released on September 29th. It’s pretty unlikely the game will have a collector’s edition announced within that short amount of time.
It’s possible however Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 could get a collector’s edition if demand for the game is high. It’s been years since a skateboarding game has come out, so the demand is there.
It would be cool if a Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 collector’s edition is made. A real-life skateboard with graphics designed by Tony Hawk himself would be nice. Although something like that might be on the expensive side.
Activision could just keep it simple and offer some sort of pre-order bonus for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5. Something more tangible like a toy finger skateboard could be fun. Tech Deck skateboard toys were popular a few years ago.
