Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End launched earlier this year and while we’re getting a standalone game starring Chloe, there is still other DLC to come for the main game. One of these is the much awaited Survival mode and the time for it to release is almost here.
We got our first glimpse at Uncharted 4’s Survival Mode a couple weeks ago in a trailer promoting the mode and have been excited to play it ever since. The mode was playable at PSX for those in attendance, but the official Naughty Dog Twitter has now revealed just when we can get our hands on it ourselves.
Survival mode sounds like it’s going to be a lot of fun, with you facing off against up to 50 waves of enemies based on those found in the main game, as well as some special other created just for the mode.
These new enemies in particular are going to pop up after every 10 waves in the form of a boss fight. These boss fights are against special Pirate Warlord enemies, which we are definitely interested to see. For that, we’ll have to make sure to tune into Naughty Dog’s live Twitch stream on Tuesday, December 13 at 11:00 am PT.
No specific date was given for the release of Survival mode other than next week, so hopefully we get a specific release day during that stream or before. What would be even better is if they announced during the stream that the mode would be available following the stream.
Regardless of how they choose to reveal the actual release day, make sure to stay tuned this coming week for further details. Also, it sounds like Survival Mode will be free to download for anybody and not just season pass owners, but that has not been officially confirmed and more based on previous wordings in the past on the game’s DLC.
