2K Games weren’t lying when they said WWE 2K16 will have the biggest ever roster. Over 120 different wrestlers will be in the game.

The official WWE2Kdev page posted on Instagram:

“For anyone doubting the ”largest roster ever” tag line for WWE 2k16, let us assure you, that we are bringing over 120 unique playable Superstars and Divas to the game. Now when we say unique, we’re not counting the repeats like 5 John Cena models, or 8 Mark Henry models. As you can imagine, these models are keeping us crazy busy, but it is worth it.”

In past games, there would be a lot of duplicates. Some games had three different versions of Triple H and Undertaker character models and so forth. WWE 2K16 will legitimately have the biggest roster ever.

There will be a ton of current WWE Superstars and Divas. That’s not all, the game will also include NXT wrestlers and Divas as well as a few legends from the past.

It’s also worth mentioning the post said “playable” Superstars and Divas too. The large roster isn’t just made up of managers, announcers and commentators.

Officially, Paige, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Bad news Barrett, Daniel Bryan and Finn Balor are the only wrestlers confirmed in the roster so far. More names will be announced over the coming weeks.

It will be interesting to see if there are some surprises in WWE 2K16. Many people are hoping for old wrestlers from the WCW and ECW promotions.
