With Sony backing out of this year’s E3 event entirely, the door was open for Microsoft to make it all about them. According to Phil Spencer they have certainly done that with the press conference promising to be “the largest showcase of games on any stage anywhere this year.” But is he telling the truth?

How many games does it take to have the biggest showcase of them all year? 60 apparently. 14 of those are coming directly from Microsoft Games Studios developers, such as the newly revealed Bleeding Edge from Ninja Theory and The Outer Worlds from Obsidian. Many of those games will even be free to those who subscribe to Xbox Game Pass. According to Spencer over 30 games will premiere for the subscription service.

The show will certainly be a big one, moving on to Cyberpunk 2077 and many more. More is to come though, so be sure to keep track of all the E3 2019 reveals from Microsoft and tons of other companies as the week unfolds. We’ll be tracking them all right here. Shout out in the comments what games you’re most excited about and which big reveals from Xbox made you the most excited for the coming year in video games.
