Update: Xbox Live should be problem free now. The issue didn’t seem to be as lengthy as ones in the past.
Once again, Xbox Live Status is down for both users of Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles. As of time of writing, people are having trouble logging into the system this evening.
If you go to the official Xbox Live Status page, you can see that both Xbox One and Xbox 360 services are all limited. The dreaded red lettering shows up with “Social and Gaming” and Xbox Live core services all down at the moment.
The Xbox Live Status page says:
“Have you been disconnected from Xbox Live? Are you unable to sign in? We’re working to restore the service to normal as soon as possible! Additionally, we’re aware that some of you are having a hard time making changes to your profile information. We’re working to fix this as well! Thanks for your patience while we work, Xbox members. We appreciate it! We’ll fill you in as soon as we know more.”
It is also worth mentioning with Xbox Live down, you may not be able to access both Netflix and YouTube on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles too. If you need to watch something really bad, use those services on another device instead.
We will update this page when Xbox Live returns.
