Microsoft has now released an Xbox One August update for preview members to try out.

DualShockers reported on some of the small updates Microsoft plans for the Xbox One console. Most of them are known issues that occur on specific games and hardware.

One change that was highlighted were “minor changes” that are not user facing. This is probably something that will prepare the console for bigger updates in the future.

The details that have been noted for preview members are below:

-Mass Effect Backward Compatibility: When streaming Mass Effect using Twitch through Snap, a black bar is output on the stream output (both in the browser and through the Twitch app).

-Turtle Beach Elite 800X Headset: Participants using this headset are unable to hear the host when moving from one party to another party.

-Xbox Fitness: When resuming from Instant-On mode and with Xbox Fitness suspended, you may encounter a frozen Kinect preview image, and Kinect interaction will not resume. Workaround: Hard reboot the console.

The above details have been highlighted as “known issues”. Microsoft are sure to fix the problems when the official update will be released next month or so.

Most of the upcoming updates for the Xbox One will be preparing for things to come. The biggest one will be in Fall 2015 where all owners will be able to have backwards compatibility with over 100 Xbox 360 games.
