Xbox One Rumors are “drastically overblown”

When rumors arrived earlier this week that the Xbox One was seeing major problems with its user interface and Xbox Live features, people asked Microsoft to show the features in a live feed. Apparently, it’s not that easy, and Microsoft still hasn’t demoed the Xbox One interface outside of the impressive scripted video just a few days ago.

Every random Xbox One rumor is drastically overblown according to Microsoft

So why can’t Microsoft show a live feed of the Xbox One? According to Albert Penello, there’s a bunch of legal issues about showing their own product. In a post on the official Xbox One Reddit thread, Penello explained in a lengthy message.

Penello claims that a live feed would need an “extensive amount of approvals from studios, actors, agents, musicians, etc,” and that it would be a “logistical nightmare” to get everyone to sign off on it.

Penello says that there are some differences between the video that was recently shown, and the live Xbox One UI, which can be found in the Reddit thread.

“I know people are excited,” says Penello. “I’m sorry things are nowhere near as dire or dramatic or exciting as everyone would like to believe. That’s why I’m not commenting on every single random rumor that comes along, because everything I see is so drastically overblown vs. reality.”
