Uncharted 4 is likely to arrive on the PlayStation 4. There’s just no way that Naughty Dog or Sony turn down the tidal waves of cash that a next-gen Uncharted game could potentially bring in. There have been rumors over the years since the release of Uncharted 3 that point to the return of the franchise.

As far back as 2012 we’ve heard rumblings of Uncharted 4. We saw Naughty Dog hiring for an unannounced next-gen project. One of the voice actors from Uncharted 3 spoke on Twitter about a project that he might be involved with at the studio. And more recently, Dominic Monaghan was at the center of Uncharted rumors when the actor dropped the Uncharted name in an interview — saying he was excited about the new game.

Monaghan is back at the center of the Uncharted 4 rumor mill as the Lost and Lord of the Rings actor recently posted a picture from the offices of Naughty Dog. This has led many to speculate that Monaghan will be involved in the new project in some capacity, likely a voice actor for either a new Uncharted game or for the upcoming The Last of Us DLC.
