John wanted sushi, so the pair headed to Kabuki, and on the way he noticed a woman walking ahead of them. He could not see her face, but he told Maxwell he planned to talk to her if she went into the same restaurant.

She did, and she took a seat at the bar, where Maxwell and John sat down right next to her. On the way in, John spotted a birthmark near her heel and quietly told Maxwell he recognized it, as his ex had the same mark. When he leaned over and said “Jasmine,” the woman turned around and greeted him by name.
