Nathan Gallagher is currently facing a live bench warrant in Ireland regarding a serious assault charge that dates back to 2022. The warrant for the Below Deck Mediterranean star was issued at Dungloe District Court, after Gallagher reportedly failed to appear for proceedings.
As reported by Page Six, this specific charge stems from an incident in August 2022, where Gallagher is accused of assaulting another man and causing him harm at Main Street in Dungloe. This legal trouble in Ireland is a major development as the reality television personality simultaneously navigates a complex series of domestic violence-related charges in Australia.
The situation in Australia involves a separate set of allegations that have drawn significant attention. In December 2025, officers from the Ryde Police Area Command arrested the 27-year-old at an apartment complex on Appleforth Street in Melrose Park. He was reportedly taken to the Gladesville Police Station. Police claimed that it will be alleged that Gallagher assaulted a 29-year-old woman known to him at the same premises.
He says he has evidence related to the case
While there were no reports of serious injuries, the legal charges are quite severe. Gallagher faces counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally choking a person without consent, and common assault.
Following his initial arrest, Gallagher was reportedly refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court. He was later granted conditional bail to appear at Burwood Local Court in January 2026. His next scheduled court appearance in Australia will take place soon.
Adding another layer to these proceedings, his Below Deck castmate and ex-partner, Gael Cameron, has reportedly filed an Apprehended Violence Application against him. This legal measure is intended to provide protection for individuals against stalking, harassment, intimidation, or threats of harm. Gallagher and Cameron also share a one-year-old son named Kayden.
In response to the public attention surrounding these events, Gallagher has broken his silence regarding the breakdown of his relationship and the allegations against him. Speaking to Rolling Stone, he mentioned, “I’m not claiming I was perfect. I wasn’t.” He further added, “I made mistakes and I will take responsibility for my own actions.”
However, he expressed strong disagreement with how he has been characterized throughout the process. “But I will not accept being portrayed solely through one person’s account of a relationship when there is another side and evidence relating to it,” Gallagher continued.
He claimed to be in possession of evidence that he believes provides critical context to the situation. This includes, according to Gallagher, “contemporaneous video footage from the night in question, as well as messages and other records, which I believe provide important context.”
He further stated that there are reportedly other aspects of the relationship that have never been discussed publicly, such as financial matters related to the purchase of an apartment in Sydney and previous allegations Cameron made about a former partner.
