Every Tuesday, a new Pokemon has a chance to shine in Pokemon GO. During the Spotlight Hour, you’ll encounter an enhanced spawn rate for a specific Pokemon every week, allowing you to level up, evolve, and catch as many as possible. Next week, Seel will have their hour in the spotlight, letting you find as many as possible, and getting a chance to evolve them into Dewgong. Having a great Ice/Water Pokemon on your team can help turn the tide quickly in battle, so here is everything you’ll need to know about the upcoming Spotlight Hour for Seel.

The Spotlight Hour for Seel will start on Tuesday, May 24th at 6:00 p.m. and end at 7:00 p.m. local time. You’ll find an enhanced spawn rate for Seel will work in your favor, even though you only need 50 Candies to evolve them into Dewgong. Having the spare candies can help you level up and get the strongest Pokemon possible quickly.

Can Seel Be Shiny In Pokemon Go?

Yes, you’ll be able to get your hands on a Shiny Seel during the Spotlight Hour in Pokemon Go. You’ll know if you have encountered one, due to the difference in the color of their coat. Normally, Seel is as white as snow, whereas Shiny Seel will be more along the lines of Beige. You’ll also see a visual splash of stars and sparkles to know when you’ve encountered a shiny Pokemon. You’ll also see a small Sparkle Icon near their name when you are trying to capture them. Pokemon do have enhanced shiny odds during these events, so you may have more luck than ever to get one.

Seel Spotlight Hour Bonuses

As you come across Seel in the wild, you’ll get your hands on an extra 2x Catch Stardust bonus. This means, that every Seel that you capture will give you extra Stardust, allowing you to level up more Pokemon, trade bigger and better Pokemon with other players, and more. This is especially great news for those that play PVP Battles since you’ll be able to make your favorite Pokemon stronger faster, and that can mean winning or losing a battle.

The next Pokemon that will get their chance to shine will be Pikipek, so make sure that you’re tuning in for the next batch of information for this flying Pokemon, and what you’ll be able to get from them!
