Recommended Videos

The extremely tight-lipped Season 17 of Destiny 2 finally gets a name, a trailer, and a ton of information. We know when it starts, the time it starts, the story, the exotics, what the season pass will give you, and much more. Here is your guide to Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted.

Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted Start Time

Season 17, which is called Season of the Haunted, will launch on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 1:00 PM EDT/ 10:00 AM PDT/ 6:00 PM BST/ 7:00 PM CEST. It will last until August 23 and has a lot to offer. There are brand new exotics, a reworked Subclass, and so much more. We will be sure to cover the full patch notes when they release.

Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted Exotics

As with all new seasons in Destiny 2, there are brand new exotics that look amazing. The biggest one is the new Exotic Sidearm called Trespasser. This is likely going to be an Arc weapon as the description Bungie gave is “let lightning flash across the tarnished gold of the Leviathan’s twisted halls.” Another exotic that isn’t revealed quite yet but is in the trailer is a scythe-like Glaive. There will also be plenty of Ornaments called Opulent Weaponry to collect. And there will be seasonal weapons and seasonal armor.

Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted Season Pass

With Season of the Haunted comes a brand new Season Pass. Season Pass owners will instantly receive the new Trespasser exotic and get access to the Seasonal Story Missions. As always, Season Pass holders will also get all rewards from both tracks while free players will only get the free Season Pass stuff.

Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted Solar 3.0

Finally, we receive a much-needed update to the Solar Subclass. Much like the Void 3.0 update with the Witch Queen, this Solar Subclass is called Solar 3.0. Aspects and Fragments will be available for Titans, Hunters, and Warlocks with Solar 3.0. The updated Supers, grenades, and melee abilities have not yet been revealed, but we will cover them when Season of the Haunted goes live.
