Destiny 2 players have a lot to look forward to with this new Season. From some amazing cosmetics and weapons that you’ll be able to unlock with the Season Pass, to the return of the Nightmares, you’ll have plenty to take care of when you log in from now until August.
But, even with all of this new content, players want to know when the newest Dungeon is going to launch alongside the Season of the Haunted. Players may not need to wait very long, but you’ll need to make sure that you have a few things before you’re able to get into all of the excitement. Let’s dig in and see what you’ll need before you can spelunk into the newest dungeon!
Season of the Haunted New Dungeon Release Date
If you’re looking to get your boots wet with the blood of your enemies in the newest dungeon, you’ll only need to wait until May 27th at 10 am PT, and runs until August 23rd. You’ll be adventuring upon Calus’ Gunship, much like in the Nightmare mode, where you’ll be trying to find out what has caused the corruption to overtake his ship.
However, players that are on the free, or even paid Season Pass will not be able to access this dungeon without a separate purchase. If you are looking to partake in this new and exciting dungeon, you’ll need to either purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition of The Witch Queen or a key to access it for 2000 Silver. This may keep some players away from accessing the dungeon, but the most loyal fans will find this to be a worthwhile purchase.
While the exact rewards are currently unknown, past dungeons have offered some of the best gear available in the game, so we shouldn’t expect this one to be any different. In the past, players were able to get their hands on items such as:
- Legendary Armor Sets
- Legendary & Legendary Reprised Weapons
- Exotic Weapons
- Exotic Catalysts
- Exotic Accessories
- Legendary Emblems
So for the items you receive, the entry price may not be an issue. If already have gotten your hands on the digital deluxe version of The Witch Queen, you’ll be able to access this dungeon for no additional cost. Once you have accessed the new Season of the Haunted content, you’ll be able to use the new weapons from The Witch Queen, as well as the new weapons introduced in this season to help you navigate this new dungeon.
