It’s almost time to step foot back into the terrifying Pizza Plex in Five Nights At Freddy’s: Security Breach. After a rocky launch plagued by glitches and bugs, Steel Wool Studios got to work, ensuring they could do everything possible to polish up the title and make it into something greater than imagined. But fans of the title are eager for more, and it looks like Steel Wool is bringing the franchise back to its horror roots.
Security Breach: Ruin Free DLC Release Date
With a piece of horrifying concept art, it looks as if the newest DLC is going to bring the title back to the scares that captivated the hearts of gamers during the original run. While Security Breach was the first true 3D title in the franchise, many fans were disappointed by the lack of actual terror, instead of resorting to a few jumpscares here and there. However, if the art released, alongside the title of the DLC, RUIN, is anything to go off of, we’re in for a treat.

Fans that played through Security Breach will also be treated to this DLC at no cost, which makes the return to the Pizza Plex that much more enticing. It seems as if something may have happened to Gregory, and we will need to get to the bottom of this mystery with a new protagonist. And with a sneak peek at one of the animatronics, Chica, it looks like we are going to be fighting for our lives, as she looks as if she has seen better days before.
It does seem as if Steel Wool Studios are going to be taking their time to make sure that this free DLC update is as polished as it can be, as it will be released free for fans in 2023. This gives them plenty of time to continue building up the world, and their engine, and make sure that they can release it in perfect shape to avoid the controversies that followed along with Security Breach’s release.
For fans, and newcomers alike, there is plenty to love about the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise. With the transition to 3D, fans were able to get up close and personal with some of their favorite characters, and exploring the Pizza Plex prove to be an engaging time for those that stuck through the initial issues. While fans were initially saddened by the bright and colorful vibes that Security Breach had to offer, they slowly watched the Pizza Plex and their favorite characters’ descent into madness, with a chance to bring a series villain down for good. Or so, we can only hope.
With this initial teaser, it’s exciting to see what Steel Wool has in store for us, and we can only speculate what will happen once we step foot back into the world of Five Nights at Freddy’s when its new RUIN DLC launches in 2023.
