Genshin Impact: How to Complete All Yelan Prerequisite Quests

Recommended Videos

The Yelan Story Quest is now available in Genshin Impact with the release of version 2.7, but players must complete a handful of prerequisite quests before they can begin this new chapter. There’s a long checklist of tasks to complete before you can start the Umbrabilis Orchis Chapter, but most Genshin Impact players will already have most of them checked off by now.

The problem is that one of the requirements is time sensitive, so players aren’t quite sure how they’re supposed to get it done at the moment. Thankfully, the solution is straightforward, but a little disappointing. Here’s how to complete the prerequisite quests for the Yelan Story Quest in Genshin Impact.

How to Complete Prerequisite Yelan Story Quests in Genshin Impact

With the release of Genshin Impact 2.7, Yelan’s Story Quest, called the Umbrabilis Orchis Chapter, is now available for players to experience. As always, you’ll need a Story Key to access Yelan’s Story Quest. You’ll also need to be at least Adventure Rank 40 and complete a few prerequisite quests beforehand.

There are two prerequisite Story Quests that must be completed before you begin Yelan’s Story Quest in Genshin Impact.

  • Sinae Unicornus Chapter: Act I – Sea of Clouds, Sea of People (Ganyu Story Quest)
  • Interlude Chapter: Act II – Perilous Trail (Archon quest)

You can complete Ganyu’s Story Quest now, but Interlude Chapter: Act II – Perilous Trail won’t be available until June 2.  Perilous Trail also has its own set of prerequisites.

How to Start Inerlude Chapter: Act II – Perilous Trail

To start Interlude Chapter: Act II, you must be at least Adventure Rank 28, begin the Perilous Trail event, and complete Chapter I: Act III: A New Star Approaches. Also, while it’s not listed, you must complete the Chasm Delvers World Quest as well since it’s required to begin the Perilous Trail event in the first place.

Hoyoverse also recommends that you complete the following quests as well for the best experience, but they’re not outright required:

  • Imperatrix Urbosa Chapter Acts I and II (Raiden Shogun Story Quests)
  • Taurus Iracundus Chapter: Act I (Arataki Itto’s Story Quest)
  • A Teapot to Call Home (Serenitea Pot Unlock Quest)

If you’re behind on Genshin Impact content, then you have a lot of catching up to do before you can begin Yelan’s Story Quest in version 2.7. This new update also brings new banners featuring Yelan and Kuki Shinobu, two highly-anticipated characters that fans are dying to pull. There are plenty of 4-Star characters up for grabs as well if you’re looking to unlock Constellations or just add more common characters to your roster.

Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices.
