Season of Alola is coming to a close in Pokemon GO and that means it is time for one final event called Alola to Alola. In this event, there are tons of shiny Alolan Pokemon to get, islands to visit, and research to complete. If you’re looking to cap off this incredible season in style, you’ll want to grab the Special Research Story ticket.
When is the Alola to Alola Event?
Alola to Alola starts on Wednesday, May 25, at 10:00 a.m. local time and ends on Tuesday, May 31, at 8:00 p.m. local time. The Alola to Alola event will take us right up to the start of the next season and the start of the Pokemon GO Fest. If you plan on getting the most out of the Alola to Alola event by buying a Special Story Ticket, you’ll have until June 1, 2022, at 9:59 a.m. local time to complete the Special Research Story.
Is the Special Story Ticket Worth It?
The Alola to Alola Special Story Ticket is available for US$4.99. What this grants you is your choice of island to explore one last time. As you might remember from throughout the season, the four islands to choose from are Melemele Island, Akala Island, Ula’Ula Island, and Poni Island. If you complete the four event-exclusive Special Research stories, you’ll get to explore your favorite island in a Special Research Story.
Each island contains different items that you’ll collect through the Special Research Story. Check out our guide on what each island has to offer to help guide your decision. Every island will have a specific Oricori Avatar hat based on the four types that appeared in the Festival of Colors event.
So, is the Special Story ticket worth it for Alola to Alola in Pokemon GO? The answer is yes, it is worth it. Money-wise, the rewards you’ll get from any and all of the islands are worth more than the US$4.99 entry fee. You’ll have a chance to catch an Alolan shiny Pokemon and grab other rare items.
Now that you know whether you want to buy the Special Story ticket for Alola to Alola in Pokemon GO, you’ll most likely want to check out the rest of what Alola to Alola has to offer.
