A camo bug is affecting players’ ability to earn unlock camo patterns in Call of Duty: Vanguard. This is mainly affecting weapons like the STG44 and the MP-40, but it could potentially happen to any weapon in your arsenal. This is a frustrating issue, especially since so many players are itching to jump into the game while it’s still new so they can get a headstart on challenges. Here are some things you can try to fix the camo progression bug in Call of Duty: Vanguard.
How to Fix Camo Progression Bug in Vanguard
Right now, there isn’t a guaranteed fix if your weapon camo challenges are not tracking in Call of Duty: Vanguard. However, this is a similar issue that has popped up in other Call of Duty games like Modern Warfare and Warzone, so it’s likely that it will be fixed in a similar manner.
However, when camo glitches like this one were addressed in previous games, affected players did not receive the camos retroactively. That means all of the work they put in during the glitched period was for nothing.
However, there’s a chance that this is just a visual glitch and that you actually are making progress despite what it seems like. If this is the case, then your progress is probably tracking, it’s just not being shown. If you’re worried that that’s not the case and you’re putting in extra work for nothing though, then hold off on grinding camo challenges for now.
Sledgehammer Games will most likely get this issue patched within the week, so it shouldn’t take too long for camo progress to start tracking again. Call of Duty: Vanguard is still new, and no new game launches without its issues. Vanguard also has a ton of content coming up soon, such as the addition of the Shipment map and the launch of Season One, bringing a new Warzone map into the mix.
Call of Duty: Vanguard is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
