Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory Debuts in the Top 10 in UK Charts

The sales charts in the United Kingdom start to recover their usual look with the arrival of new releases after the quiet holiday weeks. The first relevant entry in the charts this year is Bandai Namco’s Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory, a turn-based RPG in the style of the Persona series that has made a surprisingly good entrance in the charts, making the top 10 in both the All Formats and the Individual Formats list, which shows the good disposition of the fans who liked the first Cyber Sleuth, and how smart was Bandai Namco for releasing the game in a week with not much competition. The game improves in one place the first week of 2016’s Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth.

But not all new releases have been received that well, as Capcom’s Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition could only make it to number 33 in the Individual Formats list, while it missed the top40 entirely in the All Formats chart. The re-release of Street Fighter V features a new single player arcade mode paying homage at previous games in the franchise, which has also launched for the original version as a free update, and the additional characters from seasons 1 and 2.

We gave the Arcade Edition an excellent review, saying: “Certainly not a must buy for all Street Fighter fans, Arcade Edition is a good jumping off spot for newcomers to the game. Having been out for a couple of years now, almost all issues have been ironed out, making Street Fighter V one of the best looking, best playing fighters on the PlayStation 4.”

Beyond the new releases of the week, the charts are topped by Call of Duty: WWII, which is now only one week away from matching Black Ops III’s record weeks holding the number 1 spot in the charts. Last week’s surprising number 1, Grand Theft Auto V, slips to number 3.
