Naughty Dog and Sony have announced a new spin-off video game to the Uncharted series. This new game is being called Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.

Nathan Drake has been the main character for the Uncharted series since it debuted for the PS3 back in the year of 2007. This time however, the game will focus on characters outside of the main Drake family.

The main character for Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is Chloe Frazer. She was missing in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End so it’s cool to see her back. She is joined in this new adventure by Nadine Ross. Some fans will know her as the tough lady in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

The trailer description says:In order to recover a fabled ancient Indian artifact and keep it out of the hands of a ruthless war profiteer, Chloe Frazer must enlist the aid of renowned mercenary Nadine Ross (from Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End). Together, they’ll venture deep into the mountains of India in search of the legendary artifact. Along the way, they’ll learn to work together to unearth the mystery of the artifact, fight their way through fierce opposition, and prevent the region from falling into chaos.”

The trailer is really cool as it features over 8 minutes of actual gameplay footage. The trailer on YouTube goes up to 4K which means this is being run on a PS4 Pro. That’s not to say normal PS4 gamers should feel left out as the game should look great on the vanilla console too.

They did not announce when the game will be out but expect this to be exclusive to the PS4 and PS4 Pro. Naughty Dog are busy at the moment as The Last of Us Part II was also revealed. Hopefully all these games are spread out as 2017 is looked packed at the moment. Anyway, this is new DLC but it can be its own game since it will be available as a standalone release. It’s similar to The Last of Us: Left Behind but is much longer and expansive.
