Platinum Games to Announce New Game Next Week at E3

Platinum Games is set to debut an unannounced title at E3 2015.  The studio behind Bayonetta, Metal Gear Rising, The Wonderful 101, and Scalebound will reveal their new game via IGN’s live show.  The reveal is slated for Tuesday at 3PM.

With Platinum Games it’s hard to guess what they might be working on.  Looking through their recent releases, there are many different genres and types of games that they make.  This reveal could be just about anything.  Alongside this announcement, Platinum will most likely be showing off more of their Xbox One exclusive Scalebound as well, something we could very well see hit the stage at Microsoft’s Press Conference.

Scalebound was recently described as a “big AAA” video game by Microsoft’s Ken Lobb, who called the game “very real and very awesome,” in case anyone was wondering if it was still making its way to the console.

Regardless, whatever Platinum Games has up their sleeve has the potential to be pretty great going by their recent track-record.  Bayonetta and it’s sequel were critical successes, as were Metal Gear Rising and The Wonderful 101.  Seeing as this new unannounced game won’t be revealed at any of the major press conferences, it’s also probably safe to say that it will be multi-platform.

We’ll have to tune in on Tuesday to find out.
