Update (7/9/2018)

THQ Nordic has announced that Darksiders 3 is indeed coming out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on Nov. 27.

Original Story

If you’re one of the many desperately waiting to know when the latest entry in THQ Nordic’s action-adventure series Darksiders 3 is due to arrive, then you’ll be pleased to know that a potential leak reveals that the promised day isn’t too far away: November

This potential leak comes, once again, courtesy of the Microsoft Store which marks the game’s release date for Nov. 27.

Per usual, this doesn’t confirm that the listed date is actually correct, especially since THQ Nordic hasn’t made an official statement about Darksiders 3 in quite sometime (it was supposed to release new information at E3 this year, but opted to watch the FIFA World Cup instead), but there are a few reasons to believe it’s the real deal.

First of all, we do know that THQ Nordic plans to release the game in 2018 and doing so in the fall seems like the perfect time for that happen. In addition, this listing is consistent with the one that showed up on the Australian Microsoft Store, which says the game will arrive on Nov. 26. And while on the subject of the Microsoft Store, said storefront is the final reason why this potential leak is so believable. Namely, this is the second time in just as many weeks that a listing for an upcoming game was revealed on the Microsoft Store; and when that happened with Shenmue 1 & 2, the listed release date — Aug. 21 — turned out to be legitimate.

Of course, this is all conjecture for now, but the time when fiction becomes truth may soon be upon us, as THQ Nordic already confirmed it will be attending Gamescom in Germany next month.

Keep your fingers crossed.
