Pokemon GO shiny hunters are always looking for the next Pokemon to add to their collection. Alolan Geodude is no different. For the Alolan Geodude Community Day event in Pokemon GO on May 21, trainers will have increased chances of finding the seventh-generation Pokemon out in the wild. Today, we will be answering one simple question: can Alolan Geodude be shiny in Pokemon GO?
Can Alolan Geodude Be Shiny in Pokemon GO?
Trainers can get shiny Alolan Geodude in Pokemon GO. This is especially true during the Alolan Geodude Community Day event happening Saturday, May 21. The event will run from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. local time in your time zone. The chances of finding a shiny version of Alolan Geodude are actually increased with the frequency of the Pokemon’s appearance also increasing during the event.
The gray color of the original Alolan Geodude is changed to bright orange with its shiny version.
Alolan Geodude is a Rock- and Electric-Type Pokemon that can be evolved into its next evolution, Alolan Graveler with 25 Candies. See how to farm candies fast to make your new shiny Pokemon evolve here.
During the event, trainers can use their saved up Incense or Lure Modules to attract more Pokemon which will help increase the likelihood of finding a shiny Alolan Geodude. Both items will last for three hours so be sure to use one of each for the entire event. Using a Lure Module at a Poke Stop will also increase trainers’ chances of finding shiny Alolan Geodudes. Even if the Alolan Geodude is not shiny, it is still important to catch them for candies.
Before the event, think about stocking up on Poke Balls to make sure you have enough when the Alolan Geodude Community Day actually comes Saturday, May 21.
Pokemon GO is available for all mobile devices.
