Destiny 2 Is Guardian Games Free Content?

Recommended Videos

The Guardian Games are back in Destiny 2 and you may be wondering if this is free content or not. Destiny 2 is a free-to-play game, but with that comes some hidden paywalls to access the fun stuff. Don’t worry, you’ve come to the right place. Whether the Guardian Games are free and more are answered in this article.

Is the Guardian Games Free in Destiny 2?

Yes, the Guardian Games is free content in Destiny 2. No matter your experience in the game, you can log in and start participating in the Guardian Games. To do so, all you need to do is go to the Tower and talk with Eva Levante. She will give you a Class Armor that you need to equip in order to start collecting Laurels which will be used to buy quests that reward you with Medallions for your class.

The Guardian Games is a time in Destiny 2 where the three Guardian classes are pitted against each other. Whether you are a Titan, Hunter, or Warlock, you can contribute to your class to try and win the Guardian Games. You will also be earning some great loot in the process such as The Title.

While the Guardian Games are free to participate in, some of the higher ways in which you can really help your class win are locked behind paywalls. In order to complete some of the Platinum Card quests that will earn you Medallions, you’ll need to have access to previous expansions. The reason for this is because some of the Platinum Cards require you to go on old Raids, Nightfalls, and Vanguard Missions. These methods of collecting Medallions can easily be avoided though by purchasing the right Platinum Cards from Eva Levante.

You’ll best avoid any paywalls by competing in the Guardian Games: Recreational playlist which is available through your map on the Tower. This playlist is fun, completely free, and will earn you Medallions that you can turn in for loot.

And that is everything you need to know about the Guardian Games in Destiny 2.
