Call of Duty Warzone Operation Monarch King Kong

How to Avoid Godzilla and Kong Attacks in Call of Duty: Warzone

Recommended Videos

Godzilla and Kong have come to Caldera in the Operation Monarch event in Call of Duty: Warzone, and some players are having trouble avoiding the Titans’ attacks in the new limited-time mode. Operation Monarch isn’t a one-time live event. Instead, it’s a special game mode that will be available in Warzone for the next two weeks. Using a S.C.R.E.A.M. Device, players can take control of Godzilla or Kong and use a Titan Killstreak to eliminate players anywhere on the map. This is as overpowered as it sounds, so here’s what you need to do to avoid these attacks from Godzilla and Kong in Warzone.

How to Get a Titan Killstreak in Warzone

To use Godzilla and Kong’s attacks in Operation Monarch, you need a S.C.R.E.A.M. Device. You can obtain one by completely filling your Monarch Intel meter or by dealing the most damage to Godzilla and Kong during a Titan Frenzy event. With a S.C.R.E.A.M. Device, a squad can choose to enlist the help of either Godzilla or Kong to deliver a devastating Titan Killstreak anywhere on Caldera.

All Godzilla Attacks in Warzone

Godzilla has three possible attacks in Warzone, and each of them is listed below.

  • Heat Ray Breath
  • Tail Swipe
  • Dorsal Slice

These are all super powerful attacks, particularly the Heat Ray Breath which has a very long range.

All Kong Attacks in Warzone

Kong has three attacks as well, including:

  • Quake Slam
  • Fin Breaker
  • Aerial Axe Slash

While Godzilla’s attacks have a long range, Kong focuses more on AOE damage with attacks like the Quake Slam.

How to Avoid Godzilla and Kong Attacks in Warzone

No matter the selected attack, a Titan Killstreak can easily wipe your squad. If you want to avoid Godzilla and Kong, the best course of action is to hide. Leave the area that they’re in and take cover indoors. Remember, Godzilla and Kong can attack even without another squad using a S.C.R.E.A.M. Device.

Titan Frenzy events will cause both of them to rampage across Caldera, destroying anything in their path. While you can damage them during a Titan Frenzy to earn Monarch Intel or even a S.C.R.E.A.M. Device if you’re lucky, the best way to survive is to tactically retreat and wait until they calm down.

The thing is, each of the Titans’ attacks has a deceptively long range. That means another squad can easily eliminate large groups of players with a well-placed Titan Killstreak from a S.C.R.E.A.M. Device. If you play offensively and use the S.C.R.E.A.M. Device for yourself, this will prevent other squads from doing the same since the S.C.R.E.A.M. Devices cannot be used in rapid succession.

At the end of the day, Godzilla and Kong’s attacks are a core part of the Operation Monarch game mode. Being defeated by Godzilla’s Heat Ray Breath or Kong’s Aerial Axe Slash is just part of the fun of this Monsterverse crossover. If you’re stressed about rewards, remember that winning a round is only necessary to complete one secret challenge. The other Operation Monarch challenges just involve playing the mode.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
