If you’re looking to add a new Pokemon to your Pokedex or work your way towards an excellent addition to your powerful team in Pokemon GO, you won’t have to wait very long. In another exciting addition to Pokemon GO Community Days, you’ll be able to start working towards ways to add Deino to your team, and hopefully get a chance to evolve them through the ranks for a great powerhouse.
But, when does this event take place, and what will you have to look forward to? Let’s take a look at all of the details that are currently available in regards to this event, and see when you’ll be able to start getting out and about to add this great little dinosaur to your team!
Pokemon GO Deino Community Day Schedule – When Does This Event Start?
You’ll be able to take part in this Community Day event, starting on June 25th at 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM local time. During this time, you’ll have plenty of bonuses to look forward to, so even if you aren’t looking to get your hands on one of these Pokemon, you’ll still find plenty of excitement to be had. The bonuses that you’ll have during this 4-hour timeframe are:
- Increased Spawns
- 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance
- 3-Hour Incense
- 3-Hour Lures
- 2x Catch Candy
- 2x Chance to receive Deino XL Candy from catching Deino
- 1 extra special trade during the event, or up to two hours after the event has ended (Maximum 3 Special Trades for the Day)
- Trades made during the event, or up to two hours after will require 50% less Stardust.
- Chance for a Photobom from Deino
You’ll also have a chance to find wild Zweilous near Lure Modules if enough players catch Pokemon, allowing you to skip over one of the evolutions in this three-step process. You’ll be able to save your candies for the final evolution, and work towards getting better stats!
Deino/Zweilous/Hydregion Featured Attack
If you are lucky enough to get your hands on enough Candy to fully evolve a Zweilous into Hydregion, you’ll also get a special featured attack that you’ll only be able to learn during this event. If you’re able to evolve them during this community day event, or up to five hours afterward, you’ll have a Hydregion that knows the special Charged Attack Brutal Swing.
You’ll find that this is a powerful move, not only in competitive play but also if you’re looking to fight against the NPC Go Rocket characters, as you’ll be able to provide a swift 65 damage per attack, no matter what form of play you’re taking part in.
Bonus Raid Battles
You’ll be able to take place in special 4-Star Raid Battles against the second evolution, Zweilous. If you happen to defeat one of these Pokemon in the raid, not only will you get a chance to catch him, but you’ll see a massive increase in the spawn rate of Deino in the area near the gym where you just had your battle. This is great for anyone looking to power up their new Pokemon or work towards getting that final evolution.
Can Deino Be Shiny?
Yes, you’ll be happy to know that you may be able to get your hands on a Shiny Deino during this event. With Community Day events, the average rate for shiny Pokemon is reduced, so you’ll have a better chance than ever to be able to get your hands on one if you are a collector.
Field Research Tasks
If you’re looking to take part in some special events during this Community Day, you’ll be happy to know that you’ll be able to find some new Field Research Tasks that will help you get your hands on more items and even some great encounters with more Deino. Here’s the current list, along with the rewards you may receive.

You’ll also have a chance to take part in some extra activities, all for the low price of $1.00, where you’ll get some extra missions to take part in, with this Community Day-exclusive Research Story. If you’re looking for a great way to power up your Pokemon and earn a lot of candies and items fast, this may be your best bet to do just that.
