How and Where to Find Ditto
There’s only one place to find Ditto in Sword and Shield: the Lake of Outrage in the Wild Area. Found in the north east corner of the huge Wild Area map, this island is off by itself and might be skipped by most players. Thankfully Ditto appears in any weather condition, but even knowing where Ditto spawns might not be enough to actually catch him though.
This is an island after all, so you’ll need to know how to get across the water. Check out that guide and come back when you’re ready, if you haven’t reached that point in the game just yet. Once you make it to the island, Ditto shouldn’t be too rare. He appears about 20% of the time a Pokemon spawns. Making it easier is that Ditto will appear in the overworld, so you can avoid the surprise encounters for now. Just wander the area until you see one, but keep your eyes sharp, he is a bit tiny.
