The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan offers players many different outcomes, as each of the five main characters can die in multiple different ways along the way. On top of that, there are some major group based decisions that can lead to your entire party escaping or all of them being killed in brutal fashion. This guide will detail the steps you need to take to get the best ending where everybody escapes. We won’t be going over the individual character choices, as there are already guides detailing those separately.
One of the first major choices you need to make is once you get to a radio and try to call for help. Whatever you do, do not give your coordinates out to the military. If you do so, this will lead to your demise as part of a cover up. The radio will eventually die and your goal is to restart the generator, but you are not going to want to do that at all, as that will just lead the military to come find you as well. If by chance you do give the coordinates, you absolutely have to get the distributor cap and get on the boat first if you don’t want to be murdered or locked up as a group.
The distributor cap that was taken from Fliss’ boat plays a big part in your survival, as you will need this boat to get off of the ghost ship safely. If the distributor cap gets destroyed, you are as good as dead because you will never be getting off the ship again. The key here is to complete all QTEs when the distributor cap is involved and you should be good to go. If you manage to survive with the distributor cap in tact, all of your group members that are still alive will board Fliss’ boat and get out of there.
