PvP is seen as mostly an afterthought in Elden Ring, though it is on by default when exploring the Lands Between with a co-op partner. In any case, there are a few activities in the game where this is necessary, like for White-Faced Varre’s quest. That’s the only notable instance where you need a connection and go into PvP in other people’s words. The only problem is that you may find yourself not finding anyone to invade. Luckily, we are here to help you find the best locations for online invasions (PVP) in Elden Ring.
Best Locations for PvP Invasions in Elden Ring
The best places to invade people are before any major boss or at the very beginning of the game. If you place the Festering Bloody Finger at these places, your likelihood of encountering someone will be extremely high, and here’s why.
People will oftentimes call for help for a boss, specifically those like Margit, Radahn, the Fire Giant, Maliketh, or Malenia. When you are in a co-op session with another player, you are by default, susceptible to invasions. This cannot be turned off. In my experience with cooperative play, my summoner and I were attacked before the major bosses in the game. Do note that if you are the invader, you will most likely run into more than one player fighting against you.
Alternatively, if you want something more consistent, you can invade people at The First Step Site of Grace. This is an area that new and seasoned players are used to. Players who barely start out the game are probably more likely to play the game cooperatively with a friend or two. They might be casual enough to partner up with someone random. In doing so, like before, they are susceptible to being invaded.
Adding onto that, people who have started New Game + or anything beyond that will also more likely start Varre’s quest quickly to unlock one of the best rune farms in the game. Since a lot of people are going to be on the same boat as you, the best place to meet up without any LFG forums or groups is there. It’s the first place where people are likely to activate the summoning pool.
You can try to place your Bloody Fingers elsewhere, but your luck may not be as high as the aforementioned places without some help from people online.
Elden Ring is available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series S/X, and PC.
