V Rising Cloth Locations: How to Get Cloth in V Rising

Recommended Videos

Despite being a game about vampires that lets you hunt down powerful bosses and unlock new powers, V Rising still requires you to do a lot of busy work to keep your castle up and running. Gathering resources like Cloth will take up a lot of your time, especially in the opening hours of your vampire adventure, so it’s important to know where to find things. Cloth is surprisingly hard to find early in the game and you can’t get the crafting recipe for it until much later, so you may find yourself unable to craft the things you need.

Thankfully, there are reliable ways to stock up on Cloth early in V Rising before you can craft it yourself. Just like Whetstones, Paper, and other materials, you can find Cloth at certain encampments and locations around the map, but it’s not as common as other resources. Here’s where you can find Cloth in V Rising.

Where to Find Cloth in V Rising

Cloth is a common resource dropped from enemies in the Dunley Farmlands region, which is north of the Farbane Woods region where you begin your adventure. It can be obtained from some enemies in the Farbane Woods, but it’s incredibly rare in that early game region.

Once you reach the Dunlely Farmlands zone, you can make your way to Dawnbreak Village to obtain more Cloth. This is the only POI in the game that reliably stocks Cloth, so just break as many boxes and crates as you can to stock up on the resource. You can see its location marked on the map above.

How to Unlock the Cloth Crafting Recipe

Dawnbreak Village is also home to a level 38 boss called Beatrice the Tailor, and she’s the key to unlocking the ability to craft Cloth. Once you defeat her, you will unlock multiple crafting recipes, but the most important of them all is the Loom. It requires 20 Planks, 12 Copper Ingots, and 4 Wool Threads to construct.

The Loom is a crafting station that allows you to spin Cotton into Cotton Yarn and create Cloth from Leather and Plant Fibre. To create one piece of Cloth, you need to place 9 Plant Fibre and 3 Leather into the Loom. You can get Leather from the Tannery crafting station and Plant Fibre is obtained by chopping grass with your sword.

With the Loom unlocked, you should never run into any Cloth supply problems ever again in V Rising. The raw materials required to craft it are incredibly common, and now you can focus on other aspects of the game like recruiting the perfect servants or hunting bosses.

V Rising is available now in early access on Steam.
