How to Turn on Third Person in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

Recommended Videos

Call of Duty is a series known for pushing the boundaries of a first-person shooter game, but Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 brings the third-person view into the game. Not only will you be able to customize your weapons to your liking, but you’ll finally be able to utilize the power of this new camera type for your favorite multiplayer shooter.

Aside from being a great way to look at your Operator of choice, the third-person view can throw off the competitive nature of the game. But, Infinity Ward knows what they are doing; here is everything you need to know about the third-person view in Modern Warfare 2.

How to Turn On Third Person in Modern Warfare 2

If you are nervous about the third-person view being added to Modern Warfare 2, don’t worry. The third-person perspective is only usable in dedicated playlists. That means that in standard playlists, the third-person view cannot be toggled on and off.

This is great news for all fans of Call of Duty. If the third-person camera was allowed in every game mode, Modern Warfare 2 would quickly become unbalanced. Third-person allows the player to see a lot more and therefore react quicker than any first-person player could.

So, to recap, the third-person view in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 can only be turned on in specific playlists. In these playlists, you’ll play games where all the players are playing in the third-person view. In every other playlist type, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will remain an FPS game.

While you decide the time for this game, you’ll be happy to know that you’ll be matched up against players with the same skill level, so you don’t need to worry about feeling out of place if you’ve been out of the Call of Duty loop for a while. If you’re looking to bring the excitement of the older days back, you’ll be happy to know that Split Screen multiplayer is also included in this game.

If you’re looking to push yourself to the limit and achieve the Maximum Rank as quickly as possible, you’ll want to make sure that you’ve got your controller settings done up right. The difference between life and death in Call of Duty can be lightning-quick, so you’ll need to make sure that you’re performing as well as you can.
