There is a new collectible item that’s been added to Fortnite Battle Royale with the start of the Utopia Season 9. This new collectible is called a Fortbyte. These items are essentially collectible puzzle pieces that once all have been collected will reveal a mysterious image.
How to Get Fortbytes
To start season 9 there are only 18 Fortbytes that can be found, and they need to be unlocked by completing certain challenges. Each byte is numbered and has a unique challenge tied to it. The starting Fortbytes each have unique challenges tied to them. Some require that you reach a certain XP level or a certain Battle Pass Rank, while others are more mysterious and can only be found with certain avatars in certain locations.
How to Get Fortbytes
Throughout the course of Season 9 more Fortbyte challenges will be added to the game, until all 100 are available to earn. Right now, there are only 18 Fortbytes available to find and new ones will be added daily. You can see the Fortbyte puzzle and challenge list by heading to the Challenges Tab and selecting Fortbyte.
What do Fortbytes Do?
Fortbytes are essentially puzzle pieces that you’ll be able to find or earn by hitting various milestones. Once you collect them they will reveal a piece of a mysterious puzzle in the game’s menu.
